Our Catholic Faith: an introductory course, which provides a basic understanding of theCatholic faith. Its purpose is to develop a common religious literacy of fundamental terms and to define and explain major Church doctrines in order to foster an appreciation of the goodness, beauty, and joy found in the Roman Catholic faith.
Old Testament: a basic course which aims to tell the journey of God’s people, the Israelites’ and the evolution of belief in one God and how they developed into a people of faith. Students will come to realize the many challenges of this journey, both physical and spiritual, which help to motivate and challenge us to grow in our understanding of God, ourselves, and other people.
- Theology I encompasses a 9-week course covering the basic tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. The purpose of this is to allow all students, whether they have had religious education prior to coming to this school. The second term studies the Old Testament; how it was developed as well as how Jesus is the fulfillment of Old Testament scripture.

New Testament/Christology: to provide a historical context for each book sothat students can understand the why and the needs of the audience for whom each book was written; to transmit authentic Christian faith and moral teachings found in the New Testament. The aim is to help the student truly discover Jesus: the man, teacher, friend, storyteller, and Messiah.
Morality: to be able to articulate and explain official Roman Catholic teaching on
major moral issues confronting people today; students will demonstrate the ability to formulate thoughtful analysis of moral issues and demonstrate an understanding of skills involved in the art of moral decision-making. The aim is to help the student to develop a sound approach to making moral and ethical decisions. Answers the
question, What role should faith and the Roman Catholic Church play in discovering who I am becoming?
- Theology III involves studying Church History in the first term. Second term introduces students to issues of Social Justice around the globe. In addition, students prepare weekly prayer services that are conducted in the Chapel every Friday.
